Strontr is a fitness app for tracking workouts, runs, and progress. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and (if you sign in with Apple or Google) the basic profile information those services share with us — typically your name and a unique identifier. You may also choose to add a display name, profile photo, height, weight, and date of birth.
We store the data you create in the app, including:
We automatically collect limited technical data needed to operate the app: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, and basic diagnostics. This is used to keep the app stable and is not used to advertise to you.
If you email support, we keep that correspondence so we can help you and improve the product.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your workout or health data for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers.
If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
We share data only with vetted service providers who help us run Strontr, under contracts that limit how they may use your data:
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the safety of users, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case we'll notify you).
Your data is stored on managed servers operated by Supabase on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication. Row-level security ensures one user cannot read another user's data.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach that affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
We keep your account and workout data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except for limited records we are required to retain for tax, legal, or fraud-prevention purposes.
You can:
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Strontr is a general fitness tracker, not a medical device. The metrics you log (weights, reps, body weight, etc.) are stored in your account so you can review your own progress. We do not read from or write to Apple Health unless you explicitly grant permission, and you can revoke that permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Strontr.
If you start a run, walk, or hike with GPS tracking, we use your device's location while the activity is in progress to compute distance, pace, and route. Location is collected only while you are actively recording a cardio activity and only if you have granted location permission. You can revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Strontr. Routes are stored with your activity history; you can delete an activity to delete its route data.
Strontr is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Strontr is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved mechanisms to protect international transfers.
We may update this policy from time to time. If the changes are material, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
